Your Questions Answered
What is Chiropractic?
"Doctors of chiropractic (chiropractors) are spine and musculoskeletal (MSK) system experts specifically trained to diagnose the underlying cause, treat and recommend options to relieve pain, restore mobility and prevent reoccurrence so people can lead healthy active lives"
-Alberta College and Association of Chiropractors
Is Chiropractic safe?
"Because chiropractic is non-invasive, the risk of a serious side effect is extremely low. While most people feel a sense of relief, it is possible that following a chiropractic treatment you may experience mild soreness that should go away quickly. Before you have a chiropractic treatment, ask to discuss any concerns you have with your chiropractor. If you have any severe or lasting effects or concerns, talk to your chiropractor."
What will my first visit look like?
Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out, unless you have already downloaded it from the web site. The paper work provides us with general information about yourself and your condition, Then Dr Lance will go through a series of assessments with you to determine your neurological and spinal functions. The CORESCORE is unique to each individual and is made up of the Pulse Wave Profiler, Surface EMG and Thermal Scan which tell us how stress is impacting your overall health and well-being and how deep the problem is.
Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during the same visit.
Do you direct bill insurance?
Yes. We direct bill most major insurance companies. However, we cannot see into your benefits portal for how much they cover beforehand so we still suggest checking in with your benefits provider first.
